Silicosis

Silicosis is a very dangerous lung disease resulting from inhaling very fine particles of Silica - a crystalline found in masonry, concrete, rust and rocks. In the U.S., Silicosis kills more than 300 people each year.

Those who work in mines containing Crystalline Silicos, sand blasting industry (paint and dust removers), and construction workers are at a much higher risk of developing Silicosis. If you are one of 2 million workers who are exposed to Silicos in your work environment, it is your employer's responsibility to provide you with safety measures against this dangerous particle.
