Meridia

Meridia is an appetite controlling drug, which helps manage obesity - the cause of deaths in more than 300,000 people annually. Meridia was first approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1997. Since then, at least 25 deaths have been linked to Meridia. Most of the victims died from cardiovascular problems while taking the diet drug.

Since March 19, 2002, Public Citizen, a consumer advocacy group, has asked the FDA to take Meridia off the market. Through their research, they have found more related deaths to Meridia in Spain, Britain, and France. If you or a loved one has been injured or died while taking Meridia, we may be able to help you.
